I Gave Five Stars to a Book I Haven't Finished and I Will Not Be Apologizing

The vibes were immaculate through chapter three. That is sufficient.

Let me be clear: I have read 94 pages of this 412-page novel. I have given it five stars. I stand by this decision completely and I am not taking questions.

The opening paragraph alone deserved four stars. The protagonist's name โ€” Isolde โ€” earned a fifth. I did the math before I even opened the cover.

Some of you will say that a review requires completion. To those people I say: have you considered that you are wrong? The energy of a book is established early. I am an empath. I can feel where this is going.

Chapter three ends on a line so good I put the book down and stared at the ceiling for eleven minutes. That is a five-star ceiling-staring moment. Case closed.

I will finish it eventually. Probably. The point is that my review is already live and it has seventeen helpful votes and I am not a monster.
